
China Lowers Tariffs on US Imports in Bid to Ease Trade Tensions
The recent development in the Sino-US trade relations has led to a significant adjustment in the tariffs imposed on American imports. Following a crucial consensus reached during the high-level economic and trade talks between China and the US, the Chinese government has announced a reduction in the tariffs on goods originating from the United States. The tariffs on American imports will be adjusted, with the tariff rate being lowered from 34% to 10%. Additionally, the implementation of a 24% tariff on certain American goods will be suspended for 90 days.
