Groom Loses $28,000 in Elaborate Wedding Scam
A shocking story has emerged from Henan, China, where a man spent 200,000 yuan (approximately $28,000 USD) on a wedding, only to have his bride disappear a few days later. The man, surnamed Cheng, had met his bride through a matchmaking agency and got married after just three days of dating. He gave his bride a dowry of 160,000 yuan and spent an additional 40,000 yuan on other expenses. However, when he went to look for his bride after she disappeared, he discovered that her relatives, including her mother and aunt, were actually actors hired to play the role of her family members.
