Harbin Asian Winter Games Torch Relay Concludes Successfully

The 2025 Harbin Asian Winter Games Torch Relay, themed "Pengbo," officially kicked off in Harbin on February 3rd, marking the beginning of the Winter Games, which will bring together athletes from across Asia to compete in various ice and snow sports. The torch relay, which lasted for one day, covered a total distance of approximately 11 kilometers and featured 120 torchbearers, ranging in age from 16 to 83 years old. The relay started at the Harbin City Opening-up Site, a historic cultural district in Harbin, and passed through several iconic landmarks, including the Binzhou Railway Bridge, Maolin Park, and Central Street.

In response to the recent incident of tourists being stranded at the dock, the Sanya City Tourism Work Leadership Office has issued six measures to optimize island tourism services and enhance the overall tourist experience. Effective February 2nd, these measures aim to address the concerns of tourists and provide a more seamless and enjoyable experience for visitors to the popular island destination. The measures, which were announced on February 1st, include establishing an emergency dispatch mechanism for sea transportation, implementing a refund system for tourists who experience long wait times, and optimizing the complaint handling system, among others.
