According to Taiwan's "United Daily News," the incident occurred at around 6:00 AM local time when the fishing vessel capsized approximately 1.1 nautical miles west-southwest from Kinmen's Dongyin Island (distant 15 nautical miles west-southwest from Dajinshan Island). Taiwan's Kinmen Coast Guard rapidly dispatched four vessels to the scene, while mainland China mobilized rescue helicopters and ships.
