The drills, named "Joint Liangshan-2024A," were held from May 23 to 24 and involved the participation of land, naval, air, and missile forces from the PLA's Eastern Theater Command. According to the official Weibo account of the Eastern Theater Command, the exercises were conducted in the waters and airspace surrounding Taiwan, including the northern, southern, eastern, and western parts of the island, as well as the islands of Jinmen, Mazu, Wuzhou Yu, and Dongding Yu.
