During the post-race interview, former Formula One World Champion Nico Rosberg praised Zhou Guanyu, saying, "Without Hamilton running such a special lap, I think you would have been the best driver today. Running the fastest in the field in Q1 without losing anyone, fantastic. Come and tell us about your special feeling today." To which Zhou Guanyu replied with humor, "Yes, it was a very special feeling. But after Q1, the team just told me that you are safe (laughs). At that time I didn't know that I was in first place" (Driver Zhou Guanyu's Weibo Video).
