According to the draw, China is grouped with Serbia, the United States, and host nation France in what many have dubbed the "group of death". The three teams have dominated the sport in recent years, with all three countries winning the Olympic gold, silver, and bronze medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Weibo user "FengleiXsport" sparked the conversation, posting a screenshot of the draw results and remarking, "France woke up to find their world crashing down". The user pointed out that as the host nation, France had "given itself the most difficult group", and that the team would face an uphill battle against the three medal winners from the previous Olympics.

Many Chinese netizens expressed their concern for the Chinese team's chances, citing the immense pressure and difficulty of the group stage. User "xiangxiangyouxiang" commented, "Even China's women's volleyball team is hard to win this time, they are under a lot of pressure too". Another user, "aiyexingfu", added, "Don't just focus on France, we're also facing a huge challenge! Hope our girls can withstand the pressure and show their level".

Some users took a lighthearted approach, poking fun at the French team's predicament. User "shenmiyoucao" joked, "France , Holland , Russia , South Korea , have you figured out which country is which?" Others, such as user "liaoshiyumiao", urged restraint, warning against "toxic comments" and expressing their hopes for the Chinese team's success.

Despite the challenges ahead, many Chinese netizens are rallying behind their team, offering words of encouragement and support. User "huluwa513" posted a simple but poignant message: "Go, go, go!". As the tournament approaches, the excitement and anticipation are palpable, and fans are eagerly awaiting the first match.
