Residents are advised to take necessary precautions, including avoiding outdoor activities during the strongest wind gusts, securing outdoor furniture and other loose items, and being cautious when driving or walking. The city's transportation authorities have implemented several measures to guarantee safe and smooth travel, including increasing the maintenance and inspection of vehicles and equipment, and enhancing monitoring of passenger flow. The public bus system has also taken steps to ensure safe operation, such as reducing speeds on mountainous and high-speed routes, and increasing the frequency of bus services during peak hours.

The city's highway authorities have taken measures to prevent accidents and ensure safe passage, including reinforcing road signs and other infrastructure, and clearing any debris or obstacles from the roads. Residents are also reminded to check on vulnerable neighbors, such as the elderly and those living alone, to ensure their safety during the cold snap. A yellow warning for strong winds has been issued, effective from February 6th to 7th, and a blue warning for cold temperatures has also been issued.

The strong winds and cold temperatures are expected to last for three days, from February 6 to 8, and are expected to have significant impacts on the daily lives of Beijing residents. The city's transportation system may be affected, with potential disruptions to bus and subway services. Pedestrians are advised to take necessary precautions, such as wearing warm clothing and avoiding outdoor activities during the strongest wind periods. Experts are warning that the strong winds could reach levels of up to 13 on the Beaufort scale, making it difficult for people to stand upright.

Meanwhile, other parts of the country are also experiencing extreme weather conditions, with reports of heavy rain and strong winds in cities such as Wuhan and Tianjin. In Wuhan, a heavy downpour caused flash flooding, with some areas experiencing power outages and traffic disruptions. The city's meteorological bureau issued a yellow alert for heavy rain, warning residents to take precautions and avoid outdoor activities. Central China's Meteorological Observatory has issued four simultaneous warnings, including a blue alert for strong winds, a yellow alert for heavy rain, a yellow alert for snowstorms, and a blue alert for sandstorms.

Beijing's emergency services are on high alert, with teams ready to respond to any emergencies that may arise. The city's social services are also providing assistance to vulnerable groups, such as the elderly and homeless, to help them stay warm and safe during the cold snap. Residents are advised to stay indoors and avoid travel unless necessary, and to take precautions to secure outdoor items and prevent damage to property. The city's authorities are also warning of the risk of sandstorms and dusty conditions, and are advising residents to take necessary precautions to protect themselves.

The strong winds are expected to continue over the next few days, with some areas experiencing winds of up to 10 levels on the Beaufort scale. Residents are advised to stay safe and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the wind and cold. In some areas, the winds have been so strong that they have reached speeds of over 14 levels, with one location in Beijing's Mentougou district recording a wind speed of 45.2 meters per second. The city's meteorological bureau has warned that the winds will continue to be strong until April 13, with the strongest winds expected between 10 am and 10 pm on April 12.

As the winds continue to pick up, various events and activities have been postponed or cancelled, including concerts and performances in Beijing, Tianjin, and other cities, affecting over 30 events scheduled for the weekend. The forecast has also led to concerns about the risk of forest fires, and the Beijing forestry department has issued an orange alert for forest fire risks. Residents are warned to be cautious when using fire outdoors and to report any signs of forest fires immediately.

In light of the extreme weather conditions, residents are advised to exercise extreme caution and to follow the instructions of local authorities to ensure their safety.
